Oksana Romanov, M.A., Family-centred Care Specialist
Dear Parents and Community Partners,
We've added a new position to our team. Oksana Romanov will be joining us as a Family-centred Care Specialist. Oksana is both a devoted mom of a boy with autism and a passionate professional with several years of direct experience in facilitating peer support groups and promoting client and family interests in the academic and healthcare settings. We're glad to have her on board!
In collaboration with our IBI Therapists, Oksana will be helping our current families and perspective clients with setting family goals in therapy, parent education, positive school communication, community support and other similar needs. She will help us cultivate and nurture the client and family-centred care framework in the context of the ABA/IBI therapeutic services and raise awareness among perspective clients and professional community about the use of this family-friendly approach at Leaps and Bounds.
Our philosophy and vision for this service embodies the Ministry of Children and Youth Services guidelines for the Applied Behaviour Analysis-based Services and Supports for Children and Youth with ASD.
